CUPPING MASSAGE
A therapeutic modality that has its roots in traditional Chinese medicine. Used to address pain, inflammation, edema, scar tissue and a variety of chronic conditions, this therapy is excellent for overall health and well-being. This technique uses negative pressure in specific locations to release deep tissue rigidity, eliminate toxins, improve circulation and stimulate the flow of blood. When performed in combination with massage therapy, cupping increases the benefits of the massage. Depending on the client’s individual needs, this technique can also be used for lymphatic drainage, improving range of movement, rejuvenating the connective tissue and more.

- Your session begins with a consultation to assess your goals—whether you’re seeking pain relief, detoxification, or relaxation. After a warm-up massage to prep the muscles, your therapist will apply silicone or glass cups to targeted areas. Gentle suction lifts the skin and fascia, helping to release deep tissue adhesions and stimulate circulation.The cups may remain stationary or be gently glided across the body, depending on your needs. Many clients find the sensation unusual at first but deeply relaxing. You may experience mild circular marks afterward—these are not bruises, but signs of improved blood flow and healing, and they fade within a few days.
Paired with traditional massage strokes, this integrated session offers both immediate relief and long-lasting benefits.

Will cupping leave marks?
Yes, temporary circular marks are common and a natural sign of blood flow stimulation and detox. They typically fade within 3–7 days.
Does cupping hurt?
Cupping is not painful, but the sensation may feel tight or slightly intense. Most clients find it deeply relaxing, especially when combined with massage.
Is this safe for everyone?
While generally safe, cupping may not be recommended for clients with certain skin conditions, bleeding disorders, or who are pregnant. Please consult with your therapist during intake.
How often should I get cupping massage?
For chronic conditions or ongoing tension, sessions every 2–4 weeks are beneficial. Occasional treatments also support detox and recovery.
